The 29-year-old who was paralyzed from the waist down, will be checked into a spinal injury rehabilitation center in Chicago. The length of his stay is unknown.

“It’s going to take a miracle for Jacob Blake Jr. to ever walk again,”Attorney Ben Crump said.

Blake was left with multiple staples and constant pain, yet he was still handcuffed to his hospital bed.

“It hurts to breathe. It hurts to sleep. It hurts to move side to side. It hurts to eat,” he previously said. “You do not want to have to deal with this.”

The shooting exacerbated racial tensions in the U.S. that were aggravated by the police shootings of Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd.
