Fans are a little worried about suspended basketball star Ja Morant after many noticed that he posted and then deleted a few cryptic messages on his social media.

He shared a series of Instagram posts that included pictures of his family and the first two slides of his mom and dad, Ja said, “Love ya ma, Love ya pops.” In a third Story, he shared a picture of his daughter where he wrote, “You da greatest baby girl love ya.” In his final IG Story pic he captioned it, “Bye.” The messages were quickly deleted from the All-Star’s Instagram page just minutes after but the screenshots have been shared all over, which have prompted fans to send him prayers and encouraging words.

One person tweeted, “Ja Morant says goodbye on his Instagram story this morning after showing love to his family. Regardless of if this actually means something or not, we’re unsure, so just say a prayer for that man. Could be nothing and just a misunderstanding – could be the unthinkable.” Another said, “Damn, man. Prayers up for @JaMorant…hope everything is good 🙏” A third person interestingly added, “I blame the NBA and all the black commentators who chose to destroy instead of uplifting this bro in love, support, and patience. Stay strong @JaMorant keeping u in prayer. #JaMorant”

More On Ja Morant Getting Into Trouble

As previously reported, Morant was previously suspended back in March after he was seen during an Instagram Live session holding up a handgun while intoxicated at a Denver-area club when the Grizzlies were in town to play the Denver Nuggets. Following that suspension, he enrolled in a Florida counseling facility so he could learn how to deal with his stress better before heading to New York City to meet with Silver at the commissioner’s office… 11 days after the incident.

While it appeared that he learned his lesson the first time, unfortunately he didn’t. Earlier this month, Morant was seen back on Instagram Live
with his friend in car and while holding up a gun as they rapped along to a song. As a result of his childish actions, the Memphis Grizzlies guard
was suspended by the NBA again… pending an investigation.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver expressed his shock and disappointed and truly was uncertain about the future for Morant’s professional basketball career.

“We talked directly about the consequences first,” Silver previously told ESPN. “Before we got to a subsequent potential to have done something wrong, we were very focused on the misconduct that was in front of us at the time. Frankly, most of our conversation was about how incredibly serious the first incident was of waving a firearm on social media. Again, the consequences there — an eight-game suspension — was pretty serious and something that he, at least to me, seemed to take incredibly seriously in that time,” Silver said while talking about the past conversation he had with Morant before the second incident.

“He has an incredibly huge following, and [we discussed] my concern — and I thought he shared with me — that millions, if not tens of millions, of kids globally would have seen him do something that was celebrating in a way that act of using a firearm in that fashion.

What Has Morant Said About His Latest Actions?

Aside from his new IG posts, he has issued another apology for flashing a gun carelessly once again.

“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me,” Morant said in a statement via ESPN. “This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”
