J.Lo Briefly Addresses A-Rod Side Chick Rumors Involving Madison LeCroy

On Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Bronx-born icon served a masterclass in dodging drama while still dropping a mic.

The 56-year-old superstar was put on the spot by host Andy Cohen, who came armed with a question that’s had Bravo fans buzzing since quarantine times. “Jennifer, the Bravo-verse will kill me if I do not ask this next question,” Cohen, 57, prefaced, before diving headfirst into it.

“It came up at a Southern Charm reunion a few years ago … that your ex, A-Rod, was DMing one of the cast members,” Cohen explained, referring to the years-old scandal involving reality TV star Madison LeCroy. “And there was a lot of speculation in the press or on the show that that somehow led to your breakup. Is there anything you can speak to about that?”

Lopez didn’t flinch.. well, maybe a pause. But then answered with grace and class:
“You know, I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore. I feel like I’m done with that.”

Lopez then leaned into the moment with a perfectly timed, “Yes! Yes, support!”

Lopez and Alex Rodriguez first linked up in 2017 and were engaged by 2019. But by March 2021, the fairy tale ended.

“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” the pair said in a joint statement at the time.

But even before the dust settled, rumors swirled that the split had less to do with drifting apart… and more to do with DMs sliding sideways. At the center of it all? Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy, who, during the Season 7 reunion in early 2021, admitted to some digital back-and-forth with an unnamed married MLB player.

“He contacted me, and yes, we DMed, but other than that there was nothing … I’ve never seen him [or] touched him,” LeCroy said at the time, denying a physical relationship.

Eventually, she named names… well, one name. On an episode of the Pillows and Beer podcast in May 2023, LeCroy said she was shocked to discover it was Rodriguez in her inbox.

“I’m being f – – king catfished. The dude who’s dating [Jennifer Lopez] is not in my DMs right now,” she recalled thinking. And she wasn’t here for the side chick audition, either.

“I told [Rodriguez], I said, ‘If you’re looking for a side chick,’ which clearly he was, ‘it wasn’t gonna be me.’ I’m wifey material.”

Her then-boyfriend and co-star Austen Kroll backed up her claims, saying Rodriguez was hitting her phone a lot.

“You were like, ‘This motherf – – ker’s FaceTimed me three or four times today,’” Kroll recounted. Apparently, A-Rod got salty when LeCroy didn’t pick up from a boat. Her reply?
“I’m not at your beck and call.”

Rodriguez, for his part, has never confirmed the claims. His team flatly denied the story in 2023 with a sharp rebuke:

“Her 15 minutes of fame are up, and she is trying to get a 16th minute. Please stop wasting everyone’s time with these false narratives. They were false two years ago and continue to be false.”

Fast forward to 2025, and Lopez is clearly past the gossip and into her peace era. She’s not confirming. She’s not denying. She’s just… done.
As far as we can tell, the only thing Lopez is DMing these days is self-respect.

And that? That gets a standing ovation.
