It’s A Big Misunderstanding: Vegas Strip Club Dispels Rumors That Usher Made It Rain With Fake Money

Usher has been trending all day on social media after a woman, who apparently works at a Vegas strip club, called him out for making it rain with fake money — specifically, $100s, $20s and $1s with his face on it, which he debuted on his Instagram back on April 3. But now, the club is dispelling the rumors, claiming it’s all a big misunderstanding!

Things began after after a woman, identified as beel0ove on Instagram called Usher out in an IG story that read, “See this level of f***ery!!! Exactly why we stay away from celebs most of the time they suck!!! Cheap asf. So disrespectful this is foul! Working so hard to get nothin in return! This is a joke!! Their job is to entertain, take your cheap ass back home!!!!” In a second post, it read, “& the money does not have a trade in value what so ever! Lmao. Don’t y’all think he should be blasted on social media for this sh*t.”

Well, moments later, that’s exactly what happened and after much backlash, George M. Wilson, IV, the director of marketing at Sapphire Las Vegas, cleared things up! Wilson said, “Usher was a true gentleman and a great guest at the club. He and his crew converted thousands of real dollars to tip the girls dancing on the stage [and] left a generous tip for the staff! Apparently someone in his team left some Usher dollars on the floor to promote his Vegas residency. That is where it seems the confusion came in. But real actual cash was used for tips. We would love to host him again.” In September 2020, Usher first announced his Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace, which is set to begin in July 2021.
