Sadly, the war that’s currently going on in the Middle East continues to get intense and as of this Friday morning, Israel’s military has ordered 1.1 million civilians in the Gaza Strip to evacuate.
Israel’s army made the major PSA for civilians living in Gaza City and in the north of the Gaza Strip as local media outlets report that the country is preparing for a ground offensive. This is in response to the deadly Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israeli civilians carried out by Hamas militants.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said “Civilians of Gaza City, evacuate south for your own safety and the safety of your families and distance yourself from Hamas terrorists who are using you as human shields. In the following days, the IDF will continue to operate significantly in Gaza City and make extensive efforts to avoid harming civilians,” CNN quotes. Videos and Images shared to social media this morning showed that the IDF had dropped leaflets from planes into Gaza calling for the evacuation south. The leaflet reportedly read, “For your safety, you should not return home until further notice from the IDF. All public shelters known in Gaza have to be vacated,” it added. Meanwhile, the U.N. has warned that so many people fleeing all at once seems “impossible without devastating humanitarian consequences.”

More On The Ongoing War
The Gaza Health Ministry said Friday that roughly 1,800 people have been killed in the territory — mostly the innocent with half of them under the age of 18, or women. Hamas’ assault last Saturday killed more than 1,300 Israelis. Unfortunately, most of the victims happened to be civilians. Meanwhile, roughly 1,500 Hamas militants were killed during the fight, the Israeli government said.
The White House said that 27 Americans have died in the Israel-Hamas conflict. At least 14 U.S. citizens remain unaccounted for.
According to the White House President Joe Biden l spoke with the family members of some Americans believed to be held hostage in the Gaza Strip this Friday.
Earlier this week he addressed we the nation and condemned the attacks. While doing that, he made it very clear that “America stands with Israel.”
“In this moment we must be crystal clear: We stand with Israel,” Biden said in remarks from the State Dining Room. “And we will make sure Israel has what it needs to take care of its citizens, defend itself, and respond to this attack. There’s no justification for terrorism. There’s no excuse.”
