Yikes! Irv Gotti says he doesn’t feel like Fat Joe is his brother anymore after he said some things while he defended Ashanti against controversial comments from Irv. The Murder Inc. head honcho said, “He called me a ‘sucka.’ He showed me who he is.”
If you need a quick refresher, back in August 2022, Irv Gotti was going around promoting his 5-part BET documentary, ‘The Murder Inc. Story.’ The docuseries covered the beginning, middle and future of Irv’s rise in the music industry and how he and his artists took over the scene.
A part of Irv’s team was New York singer and songwriter Ashanti, who for years, had been rumored to have had a fling with her Murder Inc. boss. While the singer always maintained her innocence, Irv blew up the spot last Summer and not only admitted that he had a crush on his artist, but he also alleged that they had an affair while he was married.
Irv also took things further and while recalling a huge turning point in the downfall of the Murder Inc. empire, he compared Ashanti to a “cockroach,” claiming she ditched him when the feds came knocking in 2005. He took things further and said, “She hasn’t made a hit since” she left him and the label.
After Irv Gotti let the uzi rip in a rage on Ashanti, Fat Joe hopped online and checked Irv. He not only came for him for still speaking on his alleged Ashanti romance 20 years later, but he also called Irv a “sucka,” and then checked Ja Rule for letting Irv spew his controversial comments, as they both appeared on ‘Drink Champs,’ where the initial comments about Ashanti were made.
Ashanti eventually broke her silence on the whole thing and clapped back on Diddy’s “Gotta Move On (Remix),” claiming, “It’s giving obsessed.” She also took shots at Irv’s “little sausage.” She also addressed claims of them being in a relationship and how Irv allegedly told her how he made her “f**kable.”
Since all of last year’s drama, Irv Gotti has returned to ‘Drink Champs,’ with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, which is where all of the madness began. During his latest appearance, Irv refers to Fat Joe as his brother, but in the past tense.
Irv said, “Fat Joe was my brother. I do not feel Fat Joe is my brother anymore. I guess it’s a cancer trait, because once you show me who you are, or you speak negatively about me, it’s over.”
Irv continued to compare why he’s ok with how Ja Rule checked him over the way Fat Joe handled things. He said, “His defense and Ja’s defense is they do shows with Ashanti, and they’re like ‘Oh, that’s little sis.’ But, Rule will never come out and say, ‘Gotti’s a sucka.’ Fat Joe said, ‘Oh, Gotti’s a sucka.’ I gotta pull back and regress from that. Because, if I were to respond to anything like that, it can get crazy.”
