Israeli Airstrike Hits Iran State TV Headquarters Live On Air

On Monday, chaos broke out during a live news broadcast when Iran’s state-run television network was struck by an Israeli airstrike, forcing it off the air in real time.

The Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) had a reporter live in the studio when the attack happened. Dust suddenly clouded the room following what they called “the sound of aggression against the homeland.” Then came a loud explosion, sending the newsroom into shock and quickly switching the network’s signal to prerecorded content.

The attack marked a bold and direct escalation in the already deadly conflict. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the targeted building was more than a media center—it allegedly doubled as a military communications hub.

“We conducted a precise strike based on intelligence provided by the Intelligence Directorate, targeting a communication center that was being used for military purposes by the Iranian Armed Forces,” said the IDF in a statement posted to their official page.

IDF Says the Building Was a Military Cover

Israel claims the building wasn’t just some news studio—it was allegedly a front. According to the IDF, Iranian forces were secretly using the communication infrastructure within the TV station to coordinate military operations.

They added that the strike was aimed at crippling Iranian military abilities in the region and that it was successful in doing so.

“Unlike us, Israeli civilians don’t get evacuation warnings before dashing to shelters,” read another post from the IDF on X, throwing shade at Tehran’s warnings—or lack thereof—to civilians in Israel.

The IDF also revealed that Israel had issued evacuation warnings to Tehran residents before the strike hit, aiming to minimize civilian casualties. But the sheer shock of hitting a government media station during a live show couldn’t be ignored—it was a global message, loud and clear.

Israel Declares Air Superiority Over Tehran

What’s even more alarming is that this airstrike came after Israel publicly declared it had achieved “aerial superiority” over Tehran. They’re basically saying they run the skies now.

The IDF said Iran’s air defenses had been weakened, which allowed Israeli jets to move in and out with minimal threat. According to them, Israel now controls the airspace from western Iran all the way to Tehran.

That’s a bold claim and a dangerous one. It’s also a major shift in the balance of power in the region—something global leaders are watching very closely.
