Iran says it will still continue its nuclear programs after President Donald Trump‘s “savage attack” on three nuclear sites on Saturday (June 21), as an Iranian State news anchor delivers a harsh and terrifying message.

As Trump tells Iran to “make peace” or face more destruction, a state TV broadcaster has fired back with a message for Trump. According to the New York Times, a news anchor on the Iranian state television, “Mr. Trump, you started it, and we will end it.” The anchor said:

“The US has committed a crime against Iran by violating Iran’s airspace. It has no place in the West Asian region. Mr. President of the United States, you started it and we will end it.”

During the broadcast, a large graphic appeared on the screen showing American bases in the Middle East with the headline, “Within the fire range of Iran.” The anchor said the United States had no legitimate place in the region.

Additionally, Frederik Pleitgen, CNN’s Senior International Correspondent in Tehran, said Iran has acknowledged the strikes, calling them a “savage attack,” and noting that it will continue running its nuclear programs. CNN reported that the Iranian government’s atomic agency vowed to “never” stop its nuclear program and urged the international community to condemn the air strikes.

Donald Trump Addresses Nation After Three Strikes On Iranian Nuclear Sites

As we previously shared, on Saturday (June 21), Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform and told his followers:

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

When Trump later addressed the nation from the White House, he in part stated:

“The strikes were a spectacular nuclear success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace … If they do not, future attacks will be far greater, and a lot easier. For forty years, Iran has been saying, ‘Death to America,’ death to Israel.”
