Instagram User Charged With Selling Fake Vaccine Cards

Oops! #Socialites it looks like at least fifteen people were charged Tuesday by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office for fake vaccine card conspiracy.

It was reported that among those charged, a woman who allegedly sold 250 fake vaccination cards on Instagram, @AntiVaxMomma is one of the first a sellers charged in the country.

It is being told that 31-year-old Jasmine Clifford worked with 27-year-old Nadayza Barkley to sell fake cards over social media.

Allegedly through Instagram Clifford was charging $200 per card and accepted payments through CashApp or Zelle. Or for $250 she would use her friend Barkely who works at the medical clinic in Patchogue to enter peoples name into the NYSIIS database.

“We will continue to safeguard public health in New York with proactive investigations like these, but the stakes are too high to tackle fake vaccination cards with whack-a-mole prosecutions,” said District Attorney Cy Vance. “We need companies like Facebook to take action to prevent the fraud happening on their platforms. Making, selling, and purchasing forged vaccination cards are serious crimes with serious public safety consequences. This investigation is ongoing.
