A Florida woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with her ex-boyfriend’s death. Authorities say she shot him in the chest during an argument the day before.
Local 10 reports Karina Vanessa Corbalan,23, was found kneeling over her ex-boyfriend’s body, 28-year-old Alejandro Sanchez after she allegedly shot him multiple times including his chest. He was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police arrested Corbalan and took her to the Hialeah Policealeh Department where they asked her what led to the deadly shooting. The young woman said she and Sanchez were arguing earlier that morning about their relationship. She was charged with second-degree murder.

Corbalan tweeted about the relationship several times on her Twitter page and users noted how looks could be deceiving based on the couples photos:

There were no further details about the couple’s argument and police say Corbalan is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
Sanchez’s mother, Amy, says she wants justice for her son during a candlelight vigil being held in his memory Tuesday evening.
“She shot by the back like 15 times, three of them hit him, and I want her to pay for that.I want to be involved in everything because I want to see her pay for what she did to my family.”
