Infamous ‘Dr. Love’ Arrested Again For Fraud In South Florida!
#Socialites, you won’t believe this! The South Florida man who made national headlines when he posed as a doctor while just a teenager found himself back in the slammer.
This time, 23-year-old Malachi Love-Robinson known as “Dr. Love” was arrested in Palm Beach County on Thursday on charges of fraud and grand theft. Robinson was later released and details have not been released on the charges, WPTV reports.
UPDATE: The news site is now reporting that Love-Robinson was working for a shipping broker and he’s accused of having clients send money to his personal account instead of the company, police says. Authorities tell the news site that Love-Robinson took over $10,000 that belonged to the company. According to police, in text messages to the owner of the company Love-Robinson admitted that he “f***ed himelf,” “can’t say how truly sorry he is,” and is “doing everything [he] can to make it right” and “I don’t want to go to jail.” No further details were shared.
Clearly he didn’t learn his lesson from his past “mistakes.” As we previously reported, Love-Robinson, was charged with stealing more than $20,000 from an elderly Palm Beach County patient he was allegedly treating in 2015. His patients said he was convincing because he claimed he held several degrees, including a Ph.D. and a M.D. However, what his patients didn’t realize was that he was just a teen at the time.
He was later charged and arrested on grand theft charges in February 2016. He then pleaded guilty to several fraud charges, grand theft, and practicing medicine without a license in 2018. He was released from prison after serving nearly 21 months at a maximum security lockup outside Fort Myers.
