Laying down emotionally from a hospital bed where he revealed his recent HIV diagnosis, he also let the world in even more on the battle he’s been fighting mostly in silence.

Mannie, shared that the diagnosis came earlier this summer after a sudden health scare left him unable to walk. “Life been trying to take me out, y’all,” he said in the clip. “From car accidents, health scares… then I found out I had AIDS and HIV. I couldn’t walk after the summer. My body just gave up.”

Still, through the tears and tough truths, Mannie kept it a buck: “Yes, my ex gave me this. He hid a lot from me,” he admitted, pausing to breathe. “But I’m not a victim. I had signs. I ignored them.”

“I’m Still Blessed”

Even through the weight of his words, Mannie didn’t let the diagnosis define him.

“I’m lucky. I’m blessed. And I’m still happy to be living life,” he said, flashing a soft smile that looked both tired and determined. “I feel better now. I started treatment. And I’ma be alright.”

Mannie recently celebrated his birthday from that same hospital room, surrounded by balloons and love, even if he couldn’t stand on his own just yet.

In one follow-up post on Instagram, he said with the help of a walker and a nurse guiding his steps, “My legs are still weak, but I’m up,” he said tearfully. “I’m standing. I’m gonna walk again. I know it.”

The Financial Fight

But the emotional and physical fight isn’t the only thing Mannie is up against. He revealed the medication that keeps him stable runs around $4,000 a month… a number that made him gasp when he first heard it.

So, like many in the community who are forced to navigate health crises without insurance safety nets, Mannie turned to his fans for help. He launched a GoFundMe, with an initial goal of $12,000. At last check, the fundraiser had already pulled in over $8,400 and counting.

“I got support. I’ll survive,” he wrote on the page. “I created this not just for me, but so I can give back. Some of y’all don’t know how expensive it is just to stay alive. I want to donate some of this to HIV organizations that help people who can’t afford the meds. It’s only right.”

Fans Show Up and Show Out

The response has been massive. Comments flooded his posts, filled with red hearts, prayer hands, and affirmations. From fellow influencers to everyday fans, folks let him know — he is not alone.

Earlier this year, Mannie had already hinted that he was dealing with serious health issues, telling fans he was pre-diabetic and urging them to “make your health a top priority.” At the time, no one could have guessed what was coming.

But now, with his story out in the open, Mannie is owning his narrative — flaws, fears, and all.

“I don’t even know what to say,” he told fans in one tear-filled update. “I just know my future gon’ be better because of this. Because of y’all.”
