On April 27, Bellevue Marshall Police officer Nate Silvester was placed on adminsitrative leave and was reinstated as of Thursday after revealing he landed a book deal with Di Angelo Publications as reported by the New York Post. Silvester went viral on TikTok after he pretended to have a phone conversation with James while witnessing a black person in a violent altercation with another black person. Silvester later said in the clip, “So yu don’t care if a black person kills another black person, but you do care if a white cop kills a black person , even if he’s doing it to save the life of another black person?”

The “phone conversation” continues with Silvester saying that James is good at basketball but his statement doesn’t make a lot of sense.

James has deleted the tweet and said it would’ve been used to create more hate. However, Silvester believes that officer Reardon did his job and shouldn’t be judged by the basketball player.

“Officer Reardon, he was put in an awful, terrible position and it’s tragic what happened but that doesn’t mean it’s not justified. Most people in this country don’t know what it’s like to be a police officer, they don’t know what it’s like to be in a stressful position like that.”
