Ice Cube began to trend on X Tuesday morning after Caitlin Clark’s rookie contract was revealed. Last night the WNBA draft took place and the Indiana Fever selected Clark with the No. 1 overall pick.

According to a report by @barstoolsports, the former Iowa superstar landed a 4 year contract for $338,056 which made a lot of people on social media bring up how Ice Cube previously offered her $5 million to play in his Big3 league. “They mad and keep posting Caitlin Clark WNBA salary like this aint enough. But Ice Cube tried to pay her 5 million 2 weeks ago and they was mad and saying thats too much money. Now do you see what happens when you try to please women….,” one person on X said.

With another person adding, “Should’ve taken the $5M from Ice Cube. Her and her boyfriend finna be splitting rent with this money.” Ice Cube first made the announcement when he was speaking with Pat McAfee. “This is a special situation, a special player that’s moving the needle in a lot of different areas, you know, ratings, attendance, ticket sales.” Ice Cube said. “Ofcourse, our sponsors are very interested in a player like this. This is our first look at planning to go after this aggressively because we know it would move the needle in the league and that’s where we wanna be.”

Ice Cube, the legendary rapper and actor, has always been known for pushing boundaries and breaking new ground in the entertainment industry. So it should come as no surprise that he decided to take on a new challenge by launching his own professional basketball league, the Big 3.

But it seems like Caitlin Clark decided to not accept the offer. As we previously reported at the end of March Caitlin was gearing up for the NCAA tournament when the news began to surface. She spoke with reporters and revealed that she was strictly focused on winning a national championship at the time, which she did compete in but ultimately came up short to the University of South Carolina.

Clark responded to Ice Cube’s offer by saying, “I honestly don’t talk about those things with really anybody,” Clark said. “I have other people that deal with it. They haven’t said a word to me about it. And, my main focus is on this team and helping us find a way to beat Colorado and hopefully win another one after that.”
