Ice Cream Sales Increase As Deodorant Sales Decrease Amid The Pandemic

A new study reports that ice cream sales are on the rise due to everyone staying home more frequently due to the pandemic. However, deodorant sales have decreased.

CNN reports that fewer people have stopped buying deodorant due to the lack of socialization and would rather stay home have the delightful desert. Unilever said in a statement that the demand for personal hygiene products such as well Dove soap and popular brands of deodorant has dropped significantly.

They said on a positive note that more consumers are buying popular ice cream brands such as Ben and Jerry’s, Breyers and Magnum.

“Consumers have eaten more soups, used more meal kits and accompanied their meals with mayonnaise and ice cream as dessert,”

Based on their data, ice cream sales increased by 15% within the first half of the year and 26% between April and June.
