DJ Erick Morillo, known for the popular hit “I Like To Move It”, has passed away at the age of 49.

According to TMZ, Miami law enforcement reported Morillo’s body was found earlier this morning in Miami Beach but the events leading up to his death are currently unknown. He is known for the massive ’90s hit “I Like To Move It” feat The Mad Stuntman under the name Reel 2 Reel. He also won the DJ Awards’ Best House DJ three times and a three-time winner for Best International DJ. “I Like To Move It” became the theme song for Dreamworks’ “Madagascar” film series.
His sudden passing comes after he was arrested in Miami a few weeks ago on sexual battery charges. The victim told police Morillo asked her to come back to his place after an event and said she resisted his advances.

She also added that she went to sleep at his place and woke up to a naked Morillo standing next to her while she was also nude. He turned himself in for the incident on August 6.
