According to a statement on Facebook by the Roseville Police Department, a 23-year-old woman allegedly ignored the retail staff’s requests to stop. She proceeded to load her car with the stolen Stanley “Quencher” model and fled the scene. However, officers managed to spot the suspect’s vehicle as it entered the highway, and upon searching, they discovered 65 Stanley products with a total value of $2,500. The statement further mentioned that the stolen merchandise is suspected to have been taken from multiple stores, and efforts are underway to confirm the exact locations. The authorities in Roseville, California, responded to a call about a shoplifting incident that had just taken place on the afternoon of January 17.
In a report by NPR, the post included photos of the popular tumblers piled up in the woman’s truck, and she is expected to be charged with grand theft and DUI.
