The statement was released by President-elect Joe Biden’s presidential transition office. He wrote, “I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs.” Additionally, Biden states that he is “confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”
According to the New York Post, the FBI retrieved an abandoned hard drive that was owned by Hunter Biden at a Delaware computer repair shop back in December 2019.
