Love Island Reunion Sparks Questions

On Monday, August 25, the Love Island reunion went down and brought back some of the most talked-about moments from season 7. From the recouplings and controversial challenges to the grand finale, most of the cast didn’t hold back.

However, when it came to new beginnings and relationships, one cast member stayed quiet. Huda Mustafa, who made a connection with Chris Seeley before exiting the show, was recently linked to Netflix star Louis Russell, who appeared on the reality dating show Too Hot To Handle. In July, the two made their red-carpet debut at the Weapons World Premiere.

When co-host Andy Cohen pressed Huda to share an update, she said she couldn’t discuss it—claims she insisted were orders from Netflix.

She said,

“Um, I can’t speak about my relationships outside the villa.” She went on to add, “Legal reasons. I’m not allowed to speak—It’s Netflix. I’m not allowed to talk about it.”

Cohen asked,

“Netflix won’t let you say whether you’re dating somebody?” Huda responded, “I’m not supposed to talk about it, unfortunately. I’m sorry.”

Cohen pushed further: “You were, like, on a red carpet, I think, with someone. Was that someone that you’re seeing?” Again, Huda insisted, “I’m not allowed to speak on it, I’m so sorry,” as Chris rolled his eyes.

Andy clapped back with,

“Tell Netflix this was the No. 1 streaming show of the summer.”

Period!

Huda’s New Response

After seeing fan reactions online to her silence, Huda decided to clarify her stance in a follow-up post.

She explained:

“I prefer to share details about my relationships on my own terms, not for a TV show it has nothing to do with. Repeated pressure to open up, especially when it’s excessive, makes me uncomfortable, and I’d appreciate if that could be respected. But you’ll edit out the amount of times you asked and tried making others answer for me.”

Huda made it clear her decision wasn’t about hiding but about protecting her boundaries.

How Did Netflix Respond?

While Netflix didn’t release an official statement addressing Huda’s claims, the streaming giant playfully joined the conversation. They switched up their profile bio to read: “DON’T @ ME IDK!!!”

It seems Netflix leaned into the humor instead of addressing the speculation head-on.
