HU Exclusive: YK Osiris Provides Video Screenshot To Prove That He Donated To Tyre Sampson’s GoFundMe Page
YK Osiris is clearing his name. As we previously reported, the family of fall victim Tyre Sampson called the rapper out after he pledged to donate money for his funeral, but allegedly left them dry.
Tyre’s brother, JRocc shared a post that read, “YkOsiri or whatever dude name is cancelled. Used lil bro for pure clout. Didn’t pay a dime, but told the world otherwise. Even posted a fake screenshot of a GoFundMe donation. Stop pretending you about giving back to the community just to get your sales up. Lame as hell.” Reposting his message, Tyre’s mother, Nekia Dodd added, “And he blocked me on IG too‼️”
The rapper has since provided screenshots which appears to show his $15K donation on GoFundMe after he was unable to do a wire transfer. However, for some people, the GoFundMe page that was created by Miss Dodd, did not show Osiris as a top donor. Now, to prove that he did, in fact, donate money, the 23-year-old did a video recording from Miss Dodd’s Instagram account, clicked the link to the GoFundMe page, and scrolled to the bottom where it does shows his donation.
On the official GoFundMe page is an information section which explains why some donations may take longer to appear:
Many have been on the fence to donate to Tyre’s GoFundMe as multiple accounts had been removed after it was determined that they were fake. This also comes after a fake family member spoke on behalf of the family and even did interviews about Tyre’s tragic death.
As it was reported, Tyre Sampson died in March after falling from the FreeFall drop tower ride at Orlando’s ICON Park. The FreeFall takes riders up and then drops them nearly 400 feet at speeds that reach more than 75 mph, according to the park. It’s still not clear whether Sampson fit the contours of the seat or if the bracket fit properly.
As of right now, the family has not yet responded to YK Osiris’ post or apologize for the big misunderstanding.
