The third and final superhero universe has finally made its arrival with Vin Diesel taking on the leading role in the new film “Bloodshot.”

The Valiant Universe has landed on the big screen as Vin Diesel portrays the 1992 superhero “Bloodshot” in this new film that explores new uses for technology in the human body.

Hollywood Unlocked was live at the Westwood village movie theater where we spoke with the cast and crew about bringing this comic book to light.

Kevin VanHook who created the character in comic book form back in the ’90s shared with us that Bloodshot is a character that has been around for a long time waiting for the perfect moment to break out of the underarms of Marvel and DC.

In creating the book so long ago, VanHook was ahead of his time with the use of technology as we asked stars like Vin Diesel and Eiza Gonzales about the parallels that this film will portray when it comes to today’s technological advancements.

Vin said; “There is a lot about this film that parallels the time that we’re in both in technology, both in that feeling that we all have of questioning whether or not reality is reality, or are we being manipulated.”

Lamorne Morris who plays a black, British coder in the film also talked with us about the importance of playing this character and what it means for the other black kids who look at this film and see themselves in his character.

With this being based on a comic book leading fans into a whole new universe, were sure that there will be plenty of sequels to come!
