House Democrats have released additional photos from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein as part of an ongoing investigation by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The newly released images reportedly include pictures of President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, tech billionaire Bill Gates, and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
The committee says the photos are part of a larger collection of approximately 95,000 images obtained from Epstein’s estate. On Friday morning, House Democrats made 19 of those photos public.
The release follows continued congressional efforts to review Epstein’s personal records and associations. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Epstein maintained relationships with a wide range of political, financial, and social figures over several decades.
Details About The Epstein Estate Photo Collection
According to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the photos were obtained as part of its investigation into Epstein’s activities and associations. The committee has stated that the images came directly from Epstein’s estate.
The photos reportedly show Epstein alongside various public figures at different events and locations. Lawmakers have not alleged criminal wrongdoing by the individuals appearing in the images.
The committee says the size of the collection reflects the extent of Epstein’s social network. Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to state charges related to soliciting a minor and later faced federal charges more than a decade later.
Despite his prior conviction, Epstein continued to appear in elite social and political circles. The committee says the images are part of its effort to document those relationships.
Statement From House Oversight Committee Leadership
Rep. Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, commented on the release of the photos in a statement.
“It is time to end this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends,” Garcia said in a statement. “These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world. We will not rest until the American people get the truth. The Department of Justice must release all the files, NOW.”
The committee has called on the Department of Justice to release all remaining Epstein-related files. Lawmakers say the documents are necessary to fully understand Epstein’s activities and connections.
