Honey Boo Boo Receives Backlash After Making It Instagram Official With 20-Year-Old Boyfriend
Oops! Looks like some social media users weren’t here for Alana Thompson, also known as “Honey Boo Boo” making it official with her boyfriend, Darlin Carswell after dating for six months.
The 16-year-old reality star from “spooky season” took a photo for instagram with her 20-year-old boyfriend at a pumpkin patch. Both were rocking their matching T-shirts that read, “That’s How I Roll.”
Thompson added a sticker over the picture to let her fans know it was official and the sticker titled “bae.”
The reality star first made her debut on the show “Toddlers and Tiaras” at six-years-old. She also revealed to Teen Vogue in August that she doesn’t have any friends except for her boyfriend.
“To be honest, I do not have many friends. At all,” she admitted at the time, “because I feel like folks are so much like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m friends with Honey Boo Boo.’
The reality star then added, “I don’t trust nobody really, so I don’t have friends.”
Earlier this month sources found out that Carswell has been changed his status on Facebook to “in a relationship” back in March.
“Dralin and Alana are attached at the hip and hang out together all the time,” an insider told the outlet. “He was quiet at first, but he’s like one of the family now. He’s just as fun and crazy as the rest of them.”
