Zachery Ty Bryan was taken into custody for domestic violence on Thursday.
As of Friday, he’s still behind bars, based on records from the Horry County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. Bryan’s facing charges for second-degree domestic violence.
This isn’t the first time the former “Home Improvement” star has been in trouble for domestic violence. Back in July 2023, he was arrested in Eugene, Oregon, after cops responded to a call about a physical altercation between him and an unnamed woman.

He was hit with two counts of fourth-degree assault, but one of those charges got tossed out as part of a plea deal. In the end, Bryan ended up serving just seven days in jail instead of facing 19 to 20 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections.
Bryan’s had his share of run-ins with the law for driving under the influence too. In October 2024, he got arrested in Oklahoma on a DUI charge, as confirmed by Fox News Digital. After he refused to take a sobriety test, they put him in the front seat of an Oklahoma Highway Patrol car and took him to jail. While on the way, he actually apologized to the arresting officer for “liking to drink.”
“I’m just a good dude, man, I don’t know why everybody— I’m sorry, I like to drink,” Bryan told Trooper Kendrick Johnson.

Cops found Bryan snoozing in his Range Rover on the side of the road around 6:47 a.m. An officer parked his vehicle a bit up the road, and not long after, Bryan rolled by, according to the probable cause affidavit that Fox News Digital got a hold of.
The former child star also got arrested in California for driving while intoxicated just a few months earlier.
“Deputies assigned to the La Quinta Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington Street and Calle Tampico in La Quinta on a vehicle suspected of being involved in a recent traffic collision,” Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez said to Fox Digital last year.
At that time, Bryan faced a felony charge for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, plus a misdemeanor for “contempt of court.”
