You may recognize Somaya as one of the OG’s from the original “Love and Hip-Hop” series and “Famously Single”, but, she’s also known for her remarkable weight loss journey and her multi-million dollar “Get Slim Detox Tea.”
Now Jason and Somaya have been friends for a while, but, there are a lot of things about her past that he was unaware of.
Somaya opens up about the journey that molded her into who she is today. In a heartbreaking moment, she reveals that her upbringing was not the best and it led to a life on the streets and gang activity. She found herself pregnant at 15 with an older man. Tragedy struck after the birth of her son when he was murdered by who she believes was the father. Having suffered such a significant loss it still affects her deeply today, but has allowed her to push through to become who she is now!
