Hoda Kotb is letting it be known that she has no issues with Kelly Rowland after reports of the singer/actress walking off her show.
During Tuesday’s edition of Today With Hoda & Jenna, Kotb addressed reports that Kelly Rowland was supposed to be a guest host on the show and was pulled from doing so because she was displeased with her assigned dressing room. “I just want to say this: I have great love and admiration for Kelly Rowland,” Kotb began. “I adore her and I want her to come back on our show and I want her to host again,” Hager interjected by saying, “She is welcome any time.”
“Of course she is!” Kotb said not once, but twice. “She can share my dressing room! We’ll be in it together! Anyway, I just wanted to say that we love her. We’ve loved her on this show for many, many, many years.” As we previously reported, a source spoke with Page Six and explained why Rowland decided to not guest host the Today Show. “Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show,” a source revealed last Friday.
Staff members were attempting to find Rowland a better room but weren’t able to make it happen, according to the report. Rowland’s team also inquired about a green room upstairs that was already taken by Jennifer Lopez.
Rowland had appeared on Today earlier that morning to promote her new movie, Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, but was expected to stick around to co-host during the show’s fourth hour.
