It’s been two years since the horrifying home invasion that left Hitman Holla’s girlfriend seriously injured. Now, he’s opening up about the whole ordeal while sharing how thankful he is that Cinnamon is still alive to tell her story and to share her recovery journey.

In a new episode of VH1’s Future Superstars, the Wild N’Out star recalls the night he was on FaceTime with his girlfriend and overheard someone trying to break in. As he was miles away, he tried his best to walk her through how to use a gun so she could survive the night. Sadly, what he heard next was too gut-wrenching to process.

His girlfriend was shot. “All I heard was gunshots and I couldn’t hear my baby.” Hitman recalls feeling “helpless” at the moment and thinking “They killed my baby.” Cinnamon also said through tears, “All I could see I white. Whole time I’m screaming in my mind like, ‘Help, help!”

As we previously reported, Hitman Holla first broke the news about the home invasion on his Instagram. At the time he said four people had broken into the home while his girlfriend Cinnamon was alone inside. During the encounter, one of the invaders shot Cinnamon, Hitman Holla said.

“Bullet went through her cheek and out the back of her head,” he wrote. “She’s at the hospital now being strong. Send prayers my way cause y’all couldn’t imagine what I’m going through rite now. Pray for me 2 cause I’m ready to lose it all.”

In the caption of the bud post, Hitman Holla explained that he was on FaceTime with Cinnamon: “She showed courage & let off shots defending her home ..” he wrote. “I’m so proud of how she was so brave… I can’t stop crying man plz send positive energy our way I need it y’all I really really need it I’ve never felt this kinda pain this message was for my fans family and friends all at once plz help us get through this”

In another post, he shared a photo of Cinnamon lying in a hospital bed with her neck brace on. He thanked his friends and followers for the “power of positive energy love and support” sent to the couple.

Cinnamon made a post of her own at the time. She said,

“Honestly I really don’t know what to say, but to give thanks to the man above!” she wrote. “I really do appreciate each and every one of you guys so much. I could never thank you enough. I never knew I was this strong until now! Thank you to my amazing support system because I honestly wouldn’t know what to do in a time like this. I’ve never been so afraid in my life man, but I was covered by the blood of Jesus!”

Thankfully, Cinnamon has made a full recovery though she is still dealing with the trauma.
