Adolf Hitler’s alleged pet alligator named Saturn has died at the age of 84 in Moscow, Russia.

According to TMZ, Saturn’s death was confirmed by the Moscow Zoo on their official Twitter page Saturday. He has been under the care of the zoo since the late 1940s after he was discovered by British soldiers. Saturn originally lived at the Berlin Zoo in Germany since the 1930s after he was shipped from American and apparently survived a bombing at the zoo in 1943.

“Yesterday morning, our Mississippi alligator Saturn died of old age. He was about 84 years old – an extremely respectable age. Moscow Zoo has the honor of keeping Saturn for 74 years. He saw many of us as children. We hope that we did not disappoint him.”
