Herman Cain’s Twitter Account Tweets Coronavirus Is “Not As Deadly” As Claimed After His Death From COVID-19
The official Twitter account for the late Herman Cain tweeted Sunday that the coronavirus, which killed Cain in July is “not as deadly as the mainstream media made it out to be.”

Huffington Post was able to capture a screenshot before the tweet before it scrubbed from his account. The tweet that was posted by his team said: “It looks like the virus is not as deadly as the mainstream media first made it out to be,” Cain’s account said over an article titled: “CDC Now Says 94% Of COVID Deaths Had An Underlying Condition.”
The now-deleted tweet drew tons of backlash from shocked social media users. One person said, “Losing my mind that Herman Cain’s zombie twitter account is tweeting conspiracy nonsense about how Covid isn’t real despite the fact HERMAN CAIN DIED FROM COVID.” Another added, “Herman Cain being killed by a pandemic and then later tweeting that the pandemic isn’t really that deadly isn’t the most important thing to happen in 2020 but it is by far the craziest.”
While his team didn’t address the post which sparked criticism, his account did continue to talk about the coronavirus pandemic. This Monday, Cain’s account tweeted a link to a post on his website, written by the website editor Dan Calabrese, claiming that the “second wave” of the virus “hasn’t come close to the original spike, and it isn’t showing signs it will.”
As The Hill notes, the tweet is somewhat misleading, as health experts have noted that the first wave of the outbreak is still ongoing.
