The dog named Kiryusha was left to die in a shallow grave after his owners gave him a “lethal injection.” Hours after, the dog managed to dig himself out of the grave and walked to a nearby highway, he was spotted by Olga Lystseva,39. Lystseva said she was driving on the road when she spotted the poor dog and managed to get him food. Afterward, she drove him to an animal rescue service in Ukhta.
The rescue service Kind City posted Kriyusha’s photos online with hopes of finding his owners and several witnesses reported he lived in the settlement of Yemva. His owners told the service that the dog was “unhealthy” and had to put him down. They confessed to giving him a drug to end his life and dropped him off at a forest near the Ukhta-Syktyvkar highway. Several tests conducted by a vet concluded that Kriyusha was a healthy dog and had no prior medical issues except suffering from hunger since his abandonment.
