Health Officials Say Trump Tulsa Rally Is Source Of Coronavirus Surge
Top health officials in Tulsa have stated that the Donald Trump Tulsa rally is ‘more than likely’ the main source of the recent coronavirus surge around the area.
Tulsa City-County Health Department Director Dr. Bruce Dart says, “In the past few days, we’ve seen almost 500 new cases, and we had several large events just over two weeks ago, so I guess we just connect the dots.” His address arrived on Wednesday after the county reported 261 confirmed new cases on Monday, and an additional 206 on Tuesday.

Additionally, at least eight of Trump’s campaign staffers, plus two Secret Service agents who worked the Tulsa event, tested positive for the novel virus. Although attendees’ temperatures were taken at upon entry, and masks were distributed, wearing them was not a requirement during the event, which also saw no one practicing social distancing guidelines.
As of Wednesday, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the U.S. surpassed 3 million, with more than 131,000 deaths nationwide.
