Producer Harvey Weinstein is facing additional charges for sexual assault while serving time in New York.

Ahead of his trial in Los Angeles, Weinstein was slammed with an additional three felony counts of forcible rape and oral copulation after more victims came forward about their sexual assault. The announcement was made by Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey’s Office on Friday.

“I am thankful to the first women who reported these crimes and whose courage has given strength to others to come forward. The willingness of these latest victims to testify against a powerful man gives us the additional evidence we need to build a compelling criminal case.”

The sexual assaults took place between September 2004 and September 2005 at a Beverly Hills hotel and another victim said she was raped at a different hotel in November 2009 and November 2010. Prosecutors are also seeking to have temporary custody of Weinstein and an extradition hearing is scheduled for December 11.

If convicted for the additional rape charges. he will face up to 140 years to life in state prison.
