Harry Styles was trending all over Twitter last night and in the early hours of Tuesday after a video of him “spitting” on Chris Pine has gone viral. Pine and Styles both star in the motion picture “Don’t Worry Darling,” which had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Monday. They were joined by the “Watermelon Sugar” singer’s girlfriend, Olivia Wilde, who directed the flick as they took to their seats inside the theater.

However, when Styles headed for his seat, fans say he made a gesture that looked as if he was spitting on Pine before sitting down — and people haven’t been able to stop talking about it ever since. “Someone needs to begin a full-fledged investigation into what happened on that don’t worry darling set… wdym harry styles spitting on chris pine on NATIONAL TELEVISION?” one Twitter user wrote in response to the viral video.

Another person joked, “What is @POTUS doing to protect our Americans abroad (Chris Pine) from foreign threats (Harry Styles) ??????” while one social media user wrote, “They all seem to f*cking hate each other.” While it’s unclear whether Styles actually spat on Pine, the film has been making headlines for weeks amid claims that several cast members have been feuding with one another behind the scenes, including actress Florence Pugh, who was noticeably absent from the premiere following claims she’s not been on good terms with Wilde.

It would be bizarre for the former One Direction star to make the despicable action by spitting on someone at a highly-publicized event such as the Venice Film Festival, but considering all the drama that’s been going on between the cast, it wouldn’t necessarily be all that surprising.

Per Radar Online, Wilde and Pugh were apparently feuding during production because the latter didn’t appreciate how the film’s director was behaving on set with her boyfriend.

But there was more chaos about to erupt when Wilde made the claims that Shia LaBeouf, who was originally cast in the movie, was fired because she didn’t like the idea of having “combative energy” during filming. She told Variety, “I say this as someone who is such an admirer of his work; his process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances.”

LaBeouf later denied her claims, saying he quit the movie because he didn’t have enough rehearsal time to prepare for the role, which was followed by a leaked video where Wilde blamed Pugh for the issues that have been arising on the film as she begged him not to pull out from the project — which heavily contradicted her comments to Variety.
