Halsey Obtains Restraining Order On Stalker Fan
Being a celebrity and in the public eye definitely comes with a few sacrifices.
The 26-year-old singer obtained a restraining order against a 27-year-old fan, adding that she was “fearful of life” due to his behavior.
Page Six reports that Halsey’s neighbor told a private investigator that “a young gentleman has stopped at his residence looking for [her], under the impression that she lives at his residence. Additionally, the same male has stopped by 4 or 5 times since September this year and had called LAPD a few times.”
The neighbor also said the fan “showed up at his residence with guitar, demanding to speak with Ms. Ashley Frangipane,” which is Halsey’s real name.
“I became aware of a potential ‘stalker’ who was attempting to locate Ms. Frangipane (Halsey) and her management team asked me to investigate. On Oct, 2, 2020, they identified the man (we are choosing not to name), who had stopped by a neighbor’s house looking for Halsey, under the impression she lived there.”
Upon further investigation, the investigator discovered that the fan was recently released from a psychiatric ward. The order also notes that the fan believes he and the singer are in love.
Halsey is due in court next month with the stalker.
