Halle Bailey is back in the spotlight, but this time not to criticize her child’s father, DDG; rather, she’s clarifying her original statements.

As we reported earlier, the singer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express her disapproval of DDG bringing their son, Halo, onto Kai Cenat’s livestream. In a post on Wednesday, she wrote, “Hi everyone. Just so you know I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.”

While DDG did not respond directly to her comments, many of his fans rushed to his defense. They pointed out that Halo was with a parent the entire time and not left with just anyone. Furthermore, they noted that since it was a livestream, Halle had the opportunity to see exactly what was happening.

After reading the comments, Halle took a moment to explain her perspective, stating, “As a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. Nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap.” In light of the backlash, she deactivated her social media accounts but returned the next day to acknowledge that she had overreacted, which is entirely understandable.

She tweeted the following on Thursday, “Yesterday maybe I did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. I know that Halo is always safe with his dad. Just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. Thank you, Kai, for the gifts for Halo.”

As of now, DDG has not commented on this situation. However, he also took a moment to thank Kai for the gifts sent to their sweet baby boy.

Halle and DDG have been working diligently to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship since their split earlier this year. Here’s hoping these two can find common ground for the sake of their adorable little one.
