In March, Blanchard officially separated from Anderson on March 28, shortly after her release from prison. Following the split, she was spotted reconnecting with her ex-fiance Ken Urker and even filed a temporary restraining order against Anderson in April. During the video, Blanchard reflected on reclaiming her independence, stating, “When I divorced Ryan and followed my heart to true love, I felt like a free woman.”
According to PEOPLE, she believed in pursuing happiness and following one’s desire in life and urged her followers to do the same. She also acknowledged that her marriage to Anderson, whom she met while serving her prison sentence, did not bring her the happiness she looked for. Their relationship began in 2021 and resulted in a jailhouse wedding in 2022, short before her parole release in December 2023. Despite trying to make the marriage work, Blanchard said she felt unhappy.

She described the separation as a heartbreaking but necessary step towards finding herself again. However, Blanchard expressed a sense of freedom in reclaiming her independence and rediscovering a lost part of herself.
“I think that there is a sense of freedom of following your heart, following what you feel like is right for you. In my marriage, I felt like a part of me was lost in it, and so I feel like I found that missing piece of myself that I always felt was lost and now reclaiming that back. I definitely feel a sense of belonging in that space.”
