The shooting took place in the Como section of Fort Worth around 1 a.m. which left one person dead and three others listed in critical condition. Prior to the incident, the shooter was apparently upset and left the house party before returning with a gun. Moments after, the crowd fought back against the shooter and chased him down while throwing multiple bricks that they picked up from the yard.

‘An altercation occurred during a party at this location resulting in two subjects deceased, one victim in critical condition, and two victims’ injuries were non-life-threatening. Homicide detectives were notified,” a Fort Worth Police spokesperson said to the Washington Examiner.

Police added that the people involved in the attack knew each other and a disturbance was one of the main factors from the shooting. No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon. The identities of the victims including the shooter have yet to be revealed.

Resident Debra Mobley said to Star-Telegram that shootings rarely take place in the neighborhood but she was shocked by the entire ordeal. She added that the family who lived in the home where the shooting occurred only lived there for a year and played loud music on the weekends.

“First there was one light, then the whole street was filled with police lights. This is a quiet street. Nothing like this happens on this street. It’s ridiculous.”
