Hollywood Unlocked got a chance to be the premiere for the hit trilogy Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 and we can guarantee that this will be another great film.
On Monday, (May 1) we got a chance to personally talk to Chukwudi Iwuji about his outstanding role in the film and what made him want to take on the role.
Shockingly, Iwuji revealed that he loves playing the villain because it allows him to be a totally different character from how he is in real life. “Honestly playing villains is so much fun, and as an actor I know the further I am away from myself that allows for the imagination to take over.” While speaking about his character he described him as “despicable.”
“He’s pretty despicable and he’s very driven, his zealotry is dangerous but it was fun to play because all my heroes of acting have all gone through some kind of villain faze.”
Iwuji also spoke about how great it is to work with all of the amazing people in the cast and he gave a major shout out to the director, John Gunn for making it all possible. We mentioned that the cast seems like one big happy family, and Iwuji said, “yes we really are and it’s all because of John.” He explained that he and wife went to visit John for thanksgiving and a few other cast members were there and it was an amazing connection ever since.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE FILM
After the loss of Gamora, Chris Pratt’s character who plays Peter Quill must bring his team together to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If the mission is not completely successful, it could possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
