Gregory McMichael’s Daughter Admits To Blasting Images Of Ahmaud Arbery’s Body On Snapchat

The daughter and sister of the two men who have been charged with fatally shooting Ahmaud Arbery, has revealed that she shared horrific images of Ahmaud Arbery on Snapchat because she is a ‘true crime fan.’

The Sun reports that Lindsay McMichael, 30, admitted that she posted an unedited image of Arbery lying on the street in Brunswick, covered in blood and lifeless.

“I had no nefarious or malicious intent when I posted that picture,” she claimed. “The thing is I’m a huge fan of true crime — I listen to four or five podcasts a week — I’m constantly watching that sort of thing.”

“It was more of a, ‘Holy s–t, I can’t believe this has happened,’” she added. “It was absolutely poor judgment.”

Arbery’s family attorney referred to the image as “deeply disturbing.”

“The picture Lindsay McMichael posted was very disturbing and very disturbing to the family,” attorney S. Lee Merritt said “It actually fits the pattern of the McMichael family engaging in a weird, violent form of voyeurism.”

“It also highlights that there are probably more video and more images of before, during and after Ahmaud’s murder – these images aren’t meant for public consumption in this way.”

“First you have [Gregory] McMichael sharing with a news station a video of the murder then you have his daughter sharing an image of Ahmaud’s bullet-ridden body on Snapchat. It’s deeply disturbing behavior.”

As we reported, suspended-cop Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son, Travis McMichael, 34, were finally charged with murder and aggravated assault on May 7. Lindsay initially defended her brother and father claiming they never “meant to kill anybody” and “loved” her non-white boyfriends.
