The company announced the big update this morning in a statement saying that it “secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community,” suggesting that it has agreements with banks to pay OnlyFans’ content creators, including those who share sexually explicit material.

As we previously reported, the U.K. content-creator subscription site had announced the change last week citing the need to comply with policies of banking partners. But it looks like they were able to come up with a good deal on both ends: “Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard. We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change,” the company said in a tweet Wednesday.
The decision by OnlyFans to ban porn caused a big storm on social media, infuriating sex workers who have relied on the site to support themselves. The site which was founded in 2016, claims to have more than 130 million registered users and over 2 million creators.
“OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators,” the company said.
