Glorilla reacts to Fabolous saying female rappers hace “1 Style” — “We’re not killing. We’re not robbing, We’re sitting pretty, we’re popping our shit”

In a new stunning cover-story for GQ Magazine, rap star Glorilla talks about everything from growing up in a conservative Christian household with 9 other siblings, the urge to try new things with her music, and her plans to really step out of her “comfort zone.”

Glorilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is among several diverse young women who have been dominating the rap game on their own terms. While speaking on the topic of female rap, a viral post by fellow rapper Fabolous was brought up during her interview. As previously reported, Fab criticized female rappers earlier this year for having just “one style.” He said at the time, “Love hearing female rappers talking some real sh*t. Women are so strong… have so many stories & perspectives that we need to hear in pure form. No disrespect to any female rappers out, but I think there’s online 1 style of female rap/Hip-Hop being promoted & looked at as successful now,” the veteran rapper said at the time.

Reacting to that post, Glorilla said, “What men rap about? Killing, f*cking, robbing, cars, money.” She continued, “Females rapping about the same shi*t. But guess what? We’re not killing. We’re not in gangs. We’re not robbing. That’s what men be doing. What we doing? We’re sitting pretty, we’re popping our sh*t, we’re hustling, we’re getting money. We f*ck, so we rap about what we do.”

More On Glorilla

Earlier in the interview, Glorilla, who’s been taking the music world by storm with her unique voice and catchy songs like F.N.F, says she really wants to switch things up and try something different. Although she doesn’t need to, the rap star express the desire to dip her feet into other things:

“I’m always open to trying new shit. You got to step out your comfort zone. If you’re comfortable, you’re never going to grow,” the 23-year-old said. “I’m going to try everything. If it works, it works, if it don’t, it don’t. But at least I tried it, you know? I can’t dance, but I’m going to try to dance, give them a show, try to put different emotions into it.”

She went on to say, “I don’t feel like I have to, but I want to. I want to explore different shit like, okay maybe I might start liking it. Maybe this is what I needed or maybe this is what I’m missing, so I’m just open to everything,” she says. “For instance, I can’t sing, but if somebody try to make me start with some auto tuning, I’m going to try it. If it’s horrible, it’s horrible. If it sounds good, bam. Maybe if I try to show I’m more feminine, it might grow my male fan base. Maybe if I try a pop song, I can grow an audience [there]. You got to step out your comfort zone.”

Speaking of stepping out of her comfort zone, Glorilla recently revealed that she went under the knife for a cosmetic procedure. Now, although she has always been praised for staying natural, she explained why she just wanted to try something new.

She told viewers on IG Live, tells viewers, “I’m on my bullsh*t, I just bought some new tits. y’all like my new tits?” Speaking on her new size, she went on to say she just “filled them in, nothing too outrageous… it’s for my man.”
