Global Coronavirus Death Toll Rises To 200,000

Statistics show that the global death toll from the coronavirus has peaked at 200,000.

The New York Post reports the data was recorded by researchers at Johns Hopkins University who said the current death toll from the coronavirus is 200,698. There are over 2.85 million confirmed cases of the virus since the first infection from China back in December.

The United States has the highest number of confirmed cases in the world at 938,154 while Spain is second with 223,759 cases. Over 5 million Americans have been tested for the coronavirus with New York and California has the highest number of confirmed tests in the country at a total of 1.2 million.
