While the world fights for justice for George Floyd’s murder and other black lives, it seems like the Coronavirus is a thing of the past, however, as cities slowly open up worldwide, cases also increase, with the global death toll now exceeding 400,000.
According to health officials, the number of deaths from the virus surpassed 400,000 on Sunday. Over a quarter of these deaths, 109,928, are in the United States, per John Hopkins University.
The second highest fatality rate is in the UK, with over 40,500 deaths. Worldwide, at least 6.9 million people have contracted the virus. However, experts believe that Johns Hopkins University days may show far less cases as many who are infected do not get tested.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, , the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, claimed that protests and demonstrations are the “perfect set-up for further spread of the virus.
“I get very concerned, as do my colleagues in public health, when they see these kinds of crowds,” Fauci told WTOP. “There certainly is a risk. I can say that with confidence.”
This doesn’t mean that protests should stop, the fight must continue, but prepare and be safe as COVID-19 is still out there.
