Socialites, get a load of this! Teresa Giudice has shared her reaction to fellow “Real Housewives” alum Jen Shah’s prison sentence for fraud.
As we previously reported, Shah, who was on “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” was handed down a 6.5 years prison sentence last Friday for her part in a telemarketing scheme that targeted the elderly. She pleaded guilty to committing wire fraud.
Giudice was on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” and also served less than a year in jail in 2014 for fraud. Her husband Joe Giudice was also sentenced to 41 months in the slammer and was deported to Italy once he served his time. While discussing the hot topic on her “Namaste B$tches” podcast, Teresa Giudice said she “can’t relate” to Sha’s legal situation. “I wouldn’t steal anybody’s money,” Giudice, 50, told fellow podcast host Melissa Pfeister. “I would not do that. I would never do that. That’s so bad.”

“I’m a mother first. That was my first priority always since I started the show,” she added. “I always put my kids first.” She continued: “But when you’re stealing from people and the kids could read this, and be like, ‘Mom, well why’d you do this’, what do you say to your kids to that?” Aside from that, Giudice added that all Shah can do while serving her sentence is “keep it together.”
More On Jen Shah
Following her March 2021 arrest, Shah insisted that she was innocent. Sticking by her claims, she even used as her tagline to Season 2: “The only thing I’m guilty of is being Shah-mazing.” However, federal authorities used that line against Shah in sentencing papers, claiming it showed that she was mocking the system.
In addition to her prison stint, U.S. District Judge Sidney H. Stein sentenced Shah to an additional five years of supervised release. She has also been ordered to pay more than $6.6 million in restitution and to forfeit $6.5 million, 30 luxury items and 78 counterfeit luxury items.
Shah will begin her sentence on Feb. 17, according to Matthew Lee of Inner City Press. Though U.S. District Judge Sidney Stein did not specify the facility in which she will serve out her sentence during her court appearance on Friday, the still-to-be-determined federal facility has not been shared yet, it was as that it will be in the “Texas region.” If all goes well, her prison release could be possible by as early as spring of 2028.
