Ghislaine Maxwell will receive treatment for her “trauma” as she’s set to spend 20 years behind bars for sex trafficking minors as young as 14 to now-deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The socialite was sentenced at a Manhattan federal court house on Tuesday, with US District Judge Alison Nathan further adding a $750,000 fine, which is the maximum penalty under the law.

But according to a new report, the 60-year-old is also expected to start free trauma therapy while incarcerated, which has left her victims outraged, per The Sun. Ghislaine has been recommended for the Female Integrated Treatment program, which is grounded in subjects such as addiction, trauma, and women’s psychological development.

Ghislaine will also have access to a psychologist and social worker, following her testimony in court that she shared a difficult relationship with her father, Robert Maxwell, whose treatment of his daughter is what family members claim caused her to fall for manipulation by Jeffrey. One victim, who the publication did not identify, said, “This makes me sick. I had to pay thousands of dollars to get therapy and Maxwell is getting it for free. What about the trauma her victims suffered?”

Another woman named Jacqueline Polverari, who had previously spent time at the Danbury women’s prison in Connecticut where Ghislaine may serve her sentence, also told the publication how dangerous it would be to put a convicted sex offender in a room with people who’ve committed minor offenses.

“Now you have a sexual predator in the same program. Their PTSD has sky-rocketed. I don’t think it’s a good mix.” The Danbury prison served as the inspiration behind Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black,” and Ghislaine’s legal team is determined to have her based there, though the final decision will be made by the Bureau of Prisons.

The outcome will depend on several factors, such as how much security Ghislaine would need to be placed in Danbury, including supervision and its current inmate capacity.

Before being sentenced to 20 years, Ghislaine told the court, “Your honor, it is hard for me to address the court after listening to the pain and anguish expressed today. I acknowledge with that I have been a victim of helping Jeffrey Epstein commit these crimes.

“I believe that Jeffrey Epstein was a manipulative, cunning and controlling man who lived a profoundly compartmentalized life and fooled all of those in his orbit.”
