As we previously reported, Gervonta Davis had to sit in the slammer to serve the remainder of his 90-day sentence for a hit-and-run incident from 2020 after violating house arrest. The boxer was originally sentenced to 90 days of home detention, three years of probation, and 200 hours of community service for the accident.

Back in 2020 Davis was driving his Lamborghini Urus SUV with two other passengers at around 1:53am on November 5, 2020 when he allegedly ran a red light. He reportedly struck a 2004 Toyota Solara and crashed into the fence of a 7-Eleven at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr and Washington boulevards in the city’s Ridgely’s Delight neighborhood. Davis reportedly helped an unidentified woman out of the passenger seat of his Lamborghini but left the scene of the accident before authorities arrived. Davis had pled guilty on February 16 to four counts stemming from the incident last year.

Now Gervonta has been open about his experience in jail he previously went on his Instagram live from behind bars and told his fans that he feels like he’s being mistreated.

“This judge is crazy dog. Basically I bought a property I did everything in my power to listen to my lawyers. She’s mad that I bought a property that’s why I’m sitting in jail. She said she wanted me to be in an apartment, a one bedroom apartment and my kids couldn’t come visit me and things like that. I just wanted to shed light on this situation because I just feel like she’s taking advantage of me and she’s doing stuff that’s not right to me. The things that she’s doing right now is not right so I had to shed light on this situation.” He said.

In more recent news, before going to jail, in April Davis knocked out his most current opponent Ryan Garcia in 7th round. Tank hit him with a body shot, leaving Garcia on one knee and unable to get back up to fight. “The first knockdown was just him not knowing his placement and I knew that I was the smaller guy, and my coach was telling me in camp that he’s going to come up with his head up, so just shoot over the top,” said Davis after the fight.

While watching the playback, Tank added, “I didn’t think that body shot would end it, but I saw his facial expression and that’s what made me take it to him,” Davis said. “It was a good shot, for sure. I thought he was going to get up but I like to play mind games, so when he was looking at me, I was looking at him trying to tell him, ‘Get up!’. And he just shook his head, no.”
