Gervonta Davis Pleads Not Guilty To Domestic Violence Charges

Gervonta Davis is pleading not guilty to domestic violence charges against his baby mama, Dretta Starr. According to The Blast, Gervonta’s attorney entered the plea in court for him.
His next court appearance will be on March 3rd for the incident during a Super Bowl event, where the fighter was caught on viral video grabbing his baby mama by the throat.
As we reported, Davis turned himself into Coral Gables Police Department and was arrested for misdemeanor simple battery. He paid his bail and was shortly released.
The police department released a statement following the incident, “As a result of an ongoing investigation after being notified through social media and the victim, on February 1, 2020, (Davis) was observed battering his former girlfriend (with) whom have a child together,” Coral Gables police said in a statement. “(Davis) surrendered himself to Coral Gables police detectives assigned to the case.”
Dretta is currently working with the officers in regards to the incident. The conditions of his release state that Davis he cannot come near Dretta while the criminal case is pending. He cannot approach or contact her in any way.
