Raven Barmer-Simmons and DMX’s 14 other children will undergo a paternity-DNA test to confirm if Barmer is DMX’s daughter. As reported by Page Six, the reveal comes as the family is in a battle over his estate and future earnings from his music. At the time of his death, Earl Simmons aka DMX didn’t leave any will and a few liquid assets.

Recently, Tashera Simmons and the rapper’s sons, Xavier, Tacoma, and Sean were appointed by Judge Helen Blackwood as the temporary administrators of their father’s estate on Friday.

Several months ago, Desiree Lindstrom, DMX’s fiancee and mother of his son Exodus at the time of his death, appealed to be legally appointed his common-law wife but it was denied in court. She also applied to be an administrator of his estate along with his older daughters, Sasha Simmons and Jada Oden.

The children were also asked to undergo a paternity test so the court can see who are the rightful heirs for the estate.

“The next big thing is to determine who are the rightful heirs. The estate is going to ask everyone to prove paternity through DNA testing. All the legal children of DMX will be entitled to an equal share of his estate,” said Herbert Nass, trust and estate attorney for Xavier Simmons.
