Georgia Voters outraged By Broken Machines & Long Lines

Voting is very important this year considering the current climate, and if we want to make a change to those in power, but, voters in Georgia became frustrated this morning due to broken machines and excessively long lines.

Georgia is one of several states holding primaries and there have been many issues reported with a process that should have been working seamlessly.

One voter said, “Big voting problems in Georgia today. Long lines, broken voting machines, not enough poll workers After an epidemic of voter suppression in 2018 it’s happening again.”

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports wait times as long as “2 hours and 40 minutes” to vote in Fulton County.

Many took to social media to express their concerns involving long lines, poll workers’ inability to operate new machines, problems with absentee ballots, and faulty machines.

“This is so annoying and frustrating. Mostly because I applied for an absentee ballot in April to avoid this and the state just didn’t process my application in time.”

According to WSB-TV, the Secretary of State’s office said in a statement, “While these issues are unfortunate, they are not issues of the equipment but a function of counties engaging in poor planning, limited training, and failures of leadership.”
