A Georgia man who worked as a state prison guard was arrested after allegedly locking several social workers inside an office during a heated outburst over child support payments.

According to Law & Crime, 25-year-old Quantraves Hall was taken into custody after the incident at the Georgia Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS) office on Cohen Walker Drive in Warner Robins. Authorities say Hall became enraged about his child support case and turned violent inside the building. Hall allegedly โ€œbusted into the building and locked the front door, preventing four employees from leaving,โ€ investigators said.

He reportedly shouted at staff, demanding answers about his child support payments, and even attempted to enter a restricted, employee-only area of the office before fleeing the scene.

Officers Say Hall Confessed to Locking Employees Inside Office

When police arrived at the DFCS office, Hall had already left the scene. However, he later turned himself in at the police station and agreed to speak with investigators

Authorities said Hall admitted to locking the door and yelling at employees, but refused to give the name of his supervisor at the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Investigators confirmed that Hall was terminated from his position as a prison guard shortly after the incident.

Charged With False Imprisonment and Terroristic Threats

Prosecutors charged Hall with four counts of false imprisonment and terroristic threats and acts, citing the emotional distress and potential danger posed to the social workers.

Hall was booked into custody but has since posted bond. His court date is pending, and investigators continue to review witness statements and surveillance footage from the DFCS office.
